how should technical tems in making soap be interpreted?

we are making a coconut milk soap. And we are asked by uor teacher to do some write up's. There is a question we cannot answer and that question is how should technical tems in making soap be interpreted?
You can go to a place where they make soap, like a natural herb place, craft store, or an actual soap and detergent factory where you can find this info. This is the geology section. we study Earth history and rocks, I am personally not too keen on the technical term in making soap. Go to your nearest craft store and they should be able to tell you where exactly to get your info.
