where can i buy lye for soap making in new zealand?

i want to make soap and have found a good recipe but it involes lye and i don't know where to buy it. i live in hamilton nz so if anyone knows where to buy it in that area i'd reaaly apprciate the same knowledge!
Look in your hardware store or local grocery store in the cleaners isle (you want the pure crystal – no liquid) it's usually in the area of the drain cleaners. It is no longer sold in grocery stores or hardware stores in the states, but you might be able to find it in your area, if not you will need to order online.
